Kiddies in Grandma's Front Yard

At Grandma's House

Grandma's Coloring Table

Exhausted Levi
We all LOVE the yummy Mexican Food in Cali!

Levi helps me bake a carrot pineapple cake.
Eliza and her very sweet baby cousin, Joanna
Eliza loved how Joanna loved her.  Eliza would talk to Baby Joanna in her bouncy seat and when she walked away, Joanna would fuss.  Eliza would immediately go back to her, beaming that baby wanted her and loved her back.

Fun around Grandma and Saba's house

Eliza and Sadie have called David's dad, "Papi" since they could talk. Cousin Brenden, who lives near Papi calls him "Saba," Hebrew for Grandpa. I think Papi prefers the Hebrew and eventually the girls started calling him "Saba" too.  Levi stuck with Papi becasue it is easy for him to say.

The girls played dress up with the new princess costumes Grandma bought them. Levi played along too.

Levi and Brenden watched the Disney Cars movie over and over again.
They had to get ready for the new CarsLand Attraction at California Adventure Park, of course!

Play Time

Grandma took us to a fun pool.  She also had a little pool set up for them in the backyard.
Grandma took us to play in her neighborhood park. Aunt Crisitna and Little Cousin Brenden came along too!  I was amazed how comfortably cool it was in the morning even though it got hot in the late morning/early afternoon.  I think I need to move to a nice dry desert climate!

Off to Cali!

Our family just got back from a fantastic family vacation to California!  We visited David's parents.  They hosted a 3.5 week long family reunion filled with lots of fun activities! The fun began with the plane ride. The kids and I left on August 1st.  I was nervous about how they would do 8 hours on a plane but they were great.  Grant was the hardest one for me. He was happy and delightful. He smiled at everyone and tried to make friends with the passengers around us.  He just wore me out a little because he climbed on up and down my torso for hours.  But at least he wasn't cranky. He's a good boy.

Levi was so excited to ride on the plane.  When the plane pictured above started to take off, Levi desperately repeated, "Wait uh me! Wait uh me!"
