Eliza tried to climb the wall today and said, "I can't sube." It reminded me a funny story...
I often tip over the chairs in my kitchen so that Sadie can't use them to climb up onto the table. Well, a couple of weeks ago, Eliza stood on the legs of one of these tipped over chairs and used it to climb onto the table. She proudly announced, "I supe." David and I both heard, "I stupid." We looked at each other in horror. David asked her where she heard that word. "Did Daddy say it? Did Mommy say it?" Eliza just smiled and continued to repeat, "I supe." David kept reassuring her, "No, Honey, don't say that. You're smart." Finally, David asked, "Are you saying, I sube, I climbed?" Eliza was so happy he figured her out! She joyfully exclaimed, "Yes, Daddy, I sube, I climbed!" David then told me that "sube"is Spanish for "climbed" . We were so relieved! We're not awful parents after all! Eliza is smart; she learned Spanish from Dora the Explorer. About a week later I heard Dora saying "sube" in reference to climbing a mountain.

Smart, smart, smart! That is so neat! They always have great surprises for parents, don't they!?
I love that they each have their own little grown up chairs in the living room! So cute!
