Little Girl, Big Memory

Eliza has surprised me lately with how far back she can remember things now. A few days ago I stopped by the library with the kids on the way home from running errands. We pulled into the parking lot and I announced that we are going to the library. Eliza says, "I fell down at library with Daddy. I hurt my knee." I had to think about this. I wasn't sure if she was making it up or not. Then I had a vague memory come back to me. Last winter David took Eliza to the library and when they came home Eliza sure enough had a hurt knee. I remember being disappointed because her new pants had a whole in them. I was so surprised she remembered that. Then this morning I mentioned that maybe we should visit the pumpkin patch soon. She excitedly asked me if Wyatt (her cousin) was coming again. Could she possible remember going to the pumpkin patch with her cousin a year ago? Yikes. My baby is getting big.

Thanks for the story. Yes they grow quick and they do remember. Before you know you will have your hands full with two teenagers [it will be fun]. Families are forever.

Hi. I'm a transplant from David's blog. I find it amazing that they can recall something like you described, or some obscure thing that you said several weeks ago, but forget when you ask them brush their teeth, or clean their room. Absolutely amazing. :)

Cute story time video. I shot one like that with my eldest daughter a few years ago, and ended up with her throwing the book at me.

Lowest Rated, G-Man, I'm Inspired, Gina, and the zipper-

Hello Friends,
Thanks so, so much for stopping by my blog. I miss you guys. I haven't been doing any blogging lately! You guys are all so sweet to visit me even though I haven't visited any blogs lately or posted anything.

My mother-in-law is coming for a visit later this week. I am not sure if I will be busy doing stuff with her or if I will have more free time to blog. Hopefully I will get to spend some time blogging soon!

My bloggy friends, I love you and miss you. You're the best!
