I saw on Gina's blog a video of her little Liam bowling. It was so cute. He looked so delighted. I thought that maybe my kids would like bowling. I called our local bowling alleys. The all charged around $5 a game per person and $4 for shoes. I did find one older alley that offers $1 game and shoe rental nights every Tuesday from 5pm to close. So we decided to try it out. They didn't have the nice stand that I saw in Gina's montage, but they were cheap and therefore quite busy. We had to wait about a half hour or so for a lane to become available. The kids had a really fun time. Eliza was quite upset when we left. I was a little bit sore... I have been wadlling around today. I am not sure if my old six month pregnant body was up for bowling but I did beat David nonetheless. :) I had a few spares, only one or two of which was bumper assisted. :) We told the kiddos that they needed to roll the ball and if they knocked over any pins then they won. It was fun to see their excitment.

You may have beat me, but I did bowl two strikes. You also have the unfair advantage of championship blood. Maybe Congress will nationalize talent and redistribute some to me!
You tiny little princesses sure know how to manage those great big, heavy bowling balls. They are so darling.
PS. I use the bumper pads/bars. Every time. Gutter balls make me cry:P
I can't get over Eliza's talent to really toss that ball down the lane! She takes after her champion mom!
Glad you all had a blast! We need to take Liam again.
(Liam sees the baby fetus here on your blog... he said "Baby Liam... take clothes off! Mom, take clothes off!" Oh brother...)
Looks like fun, we are going to have to try that with our girls. I am impressed that you bowled 6 months pregnant! congrats on winning!
Wow. They really are like Grandpa.
I wish we could have gone! That looks like it was so much fun. I love how the guy had to go and get the "slow" ball!
Ooooo... this a fun place.
