If you are unfamiliar with educational toddler shows like Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go, then let me explain... These interactive shows ask kids questions and pause to let them answer.
Well, this morning Sadie verbally interacted with Diego for the first time. Diego asks, "Is a leather- back sea turtle black and green or black and white?" Sadie answers, "Green." Diego replies, "Right, White!" (Good Guess, Sadie, you usually see green turtles).
Then I get the camera, rewind the show, and film this event. The second time Sadie hears the question about the color of leather-back sea turtles she answers, "white." She learned! Wow. How amazing! I am not exactly bragging about my how smart my 20 month old tot is, I'm just recognizing that her brain works very well!

Good job Sadie!
Love your stories about the girls!
Yes...quite amazing how quickly they learn and also, HOW they learn.
This has nothing to do with your post but it jolted a memory. I once had a little first grade girl that actually learned to read and do math while sitting under her desk with a spiral notebook (brought from home) drawing pictures of her home life. I should have tried writing a book about Brittney but that's one of the 'shoulduv's of life'. She was an enigma. I recommended that she be tested and evaluated for the G/T program but was told that she didn't meet the criteria for testing...whatever that means.(What it means is that we had a bunch of screw-ups in the administration)
I wonder...I wonder...What ever happened to Brittney?
Whatever. You just wanted to show off your new TV.
Yes, and a brain that is working well would usually indicate smarts! She is so great, Terry! I love how bright she is!
Do you guys watch SNL? A few weeks ago they did a cartoon imitating all the interactive kid shows! It was hilarious! The main character looked like Dora and she got really mad towards the end when we didn't answer her questions. It was absolutely hilarious for a mom like me!
