I have a crazy little eye condition in which I only see out of one eye at a time. I've seen this way my whole life only I didn't know it until I was 25, but thats a story for another time. Anyway, I had an appointment this morning with an eye surgeon. She had good news for me, I am a good candidate for eye surgery and there is more than an 80% chance of permanent improvement for my eyes. Great. I scheduled the surgery for next month.David's mom agreed to fly out to help with the kids the week of the surgery. Before purchasing a plane ticket, I wanted to be sure I was going to go through with the eye surgery. Since I will be going under general anesthesia, I am required to have a physical completed before the procedure to be sure I am healthy enough to handle it. I went to one of those walk-in medical clinic places. Well, it turns out I can't have the surgery after all due to the results found in a blood test... I am pregnant!
David and I are really excited. Perhaps if you happened to have read my adoption story post, than you know that we once had trouble conceiving a baby. We tried for almost two years before we adopted Eliza. Just a few months after Eliza arrived, I became pregnant with Sadie. So the first pregnancy took two years and this time I became pregnant the very first month we stopped preventing. There is no doubt that Eliza was meant to be in our family. Her adoption was such a miracle! It would have to be meant to be or it would have had no chance of working out. I don't know why God sent her to us through adoption but He did and we love it. Once we had her, than I got pregnant. D
avid and I believe that perhaps our infertility problems were necessary at the time so that we would pursue adoption, therefore opening the opportunity for Eliza to join our family.According to an on-line due date calculator, I am about three weeks along. I will no for sure once I have my first ultrasound in about a month. Aren't fetuses so cute?

Aaaahh YeeeaH!
I am so happy for you! And dang it, it's too late to call and squeal on the phone with you! What a blessing! You two are such great parents! I am so pleased you are up for another adventure upon your original two. What fun!
P.S. You really had me going with the eye thing. Your email alone (as simple as it was) led me to think of pregnancy, but the beginnings of this post strung me along to another idea. Oh you tricky thing.
What a story! What a story! Terry, I am so happy for you two kids (you and David!)
I have prayed that the same thing would happen to our daughter after the adoption of their two. But guess God has different plans for them.
You and I have something in common...(no, I'm not pregnant!!) I have crazy eyes! Though, the problems are quite differentfrom your's. I go to the doctor on the 28th of this month to see what's up with the glaucoma. I can tell that my vision is getting worse...particularly when I'm writing. I have to edit and edit and edit!! So please overlook errors that I may miss.
Now, it's your job to keep us all informed of the changes during your pregnancy...and don't forget PICTURES at a later date.
Oh my Gosh!!! And I found out through your blog!!! I am calling you when I am finished writing this. Congratulations!
